An established history of a community cornerstone.

Over 140 years and four generations, LeSourd Insurance has served Xenia and the surrounding Greene County Community. 

In 1878, Silas B. LeSourd (known as S. B.) founded the S.B. LeSourd Insurance in Xenia, Ohio. Originally located in the center of downtown Xenia in what would eventually become the Steele Building, LeSourd Insurance quickly became one of the most well-respected businesses in the area. In 1974, the Xenia Tornado ravaged the community: destroying family homes, businesses, and farms. Through it all, LeSourd Insurance was on the ground helping service our clients who had become like family and our community we all called home. While our home at the Steele Building had been destroyed, we were dedicated to remaining open and helping rebuild lives, so Richard H. LeSourd, Jr. (Great-Grandson of S.B. LeSourd) ran the agency out of his home. As the community began to rebuild, we found our new agency home on 1228 Monroe Drive.

In 2019, Richard H. LeSourd, Jr. decided to retire. While you may still see him poking his head around the office, he sold LeSourd Insurance to Malcolm Brooker of The Brooker Family of Businesses in Strongsville, Ohio. Brooker has allowed LeSourd Insurance to continue to grow and offer our clients additional services such as employee benefits, commercial transportation coverage, and full-service mortgages.
